Last week took place the III Encuentro ENS, organized by the CCN (the National Spanish Certification Body), one of the most important cybersecurity meetings in Spain, which is growing edition after edition, gains attraction both from companies willing to collaborate with presentations and sponsorships, as well as from the public interested in attending. In fact, a few days before the launch of the event, it had already been sold out.
In this edition, we decided to collaborate as VIP sponsors, thus supporting events that offer visibility to the work done by CCN, both with the adoption of the ENS and the CPSTIC catalogue, always with the intention of improving the cybersecurity of companies and administrations.
Using CPSTIC/ENECSTI in the public administration - Video Identification Tools and more
We could not miss the opportunity to be actively present as speakers. So we offered a talk to show how cybersecurity certification and the CPSTIC catalogue can be used in an innovative way.
"Using CPSTIC/ENECSTI in the public administration - Video identification tools and more" is the title of the talk that José Ruiz, CTO at jtsec, had the opportunity to offer to the audience of the event. In this presentation we highlighted the importance of using the catalogue as a key prevention tool both at a legislative level and in the purchasing processes in the public administration, with several success stories of products included (or in process) in the catalogue that are very different from each other. Showing in this way the adaptability of the catalogue beyond more conventional solutions such as firewalls, anti-virus, or routers.
In addition, we emphasized the two certifications that are currently valid to include a product in the CPSTIC catalogue (Common Criteria y LINCE), thanking the great work that both, the catalogue and the CCN, in its role as Certification Body, are carrying out in a huge way to promote the use of cybersecurity products in Spain. In fact, a few months ago, the first Spanish national legislation requiring product certification (for Video Identification tools) was published.
Acknowledgements
We would like to thank CCN for the great organization of the event and the opportunity they gave us to be VIP sponsors of the III Encuentro ENS, as well as all the attendees for their presence. The quality of the presentations, the speakers and the topics covered, as well as the collaborating companies was, once again, outstanding.
We say farewell to this edition with a great taste and big satisfaction. We hope to be part of the next edition of the Encuentro ENS, which we are sure will be as interesting as this years edition.
