In October 2021 we were invited to give a talk at ICCC21 on Common Criteria statistics in the first three quarters. It is true that, although the overall results we showed in terms of the number of certifications obtained were not very high, they did not show a complete recovery compared to 2020, a year marked by the pandemic. However, we can say that 2021 has been the year with the highest number of Common Criteria certifications in history, with 411 certifications, surpassing the 400 milestone for the first time, followed by 2016 with 395 certifications (16 less)
This year is quite exciting for us, because for the first time, our laboratory has evaluated the first product under the Common Criteria standard, which allows us to become an accredited laboratory for Common Criteria evaluations.
CCCScraper is a Python script that automatically analyzes information from the official Common Criteria portal and the portals of the several certification bodies. This tool has been developed and improved by jtsec in recent years, offering a comprehensive collection of data that allows us to have an accurate view of the sector.
This report shows data for 2021, the last five years, as well as historical trends since the beginning of the application of Common Criteria as an evaluation methodology.
